Take The Customer Experience IQ Test

Remember that your customers also include your manager, teammates, or others within your business that seek your professional input (e.g., a status report, or an email follow-up). As with any quiz of this type, the most important thing is that you are honest with yourself. An interpretation of your score will follow the quiz. Place a check in front of each action below that you believe you have demonstrated most of the time when dealing with customers.

While this is not a scientific quiz, it will give you an idea of your strengths as well as any areas within yourself that need development when dealing with customers. Count the number of checkmarks and then use the following information as an informal guide to interpret your results:

10 or below: Your customer service experience is in its infancy and calls for a planetary explosion to evolve. You could shadow experts in your company. Also, watch basic videos (8 Customer Serivce Skills Every Employee Should Know or Customer Service Language - 7 Phrases to Avoid Using in Customer Service) and seek other types of professional training and development on your path to becoming a global customer service star.

11-23 points: You're on your way to becoming a star customer service agent. Look closely at the 3 major areas and determine if one is shining brighter than another. Use your strengths and identify a coach to help you develop a training plan to build your discipline in providing a great customer experience.

> 23 points: Congratulations! Allow others to hitch a ride on your customer service star! You act more confidently in creating a great customer experience than most other people on the planet. Celebrate your strengths and share them with others.
